Celtic can win UEFA Cup - Catanha

Celta Vigo striker Catanha has backed Celtic to win the UEFA Cup this season - if they can dispose of the La Liga side in the next round.

The two clubs meet in the third round, first leg of the competition at Parkhead on Thursday.

But the Brazilian forward is confident the winners can go on to claim the trophy in May.

Catanha told the Scottish Sun: “Celtic are strong enough and good enough to win the UEFA Cup.

“Whoever wins our tie, one will go on to win the trophy in my mind. I admire Celtic and the way they work so hard.

“I was impressed when I watched them beat Blackburn Rovers. They are a team who will not let you play because they press you a lot.”
