Sukur says no to Gers

Hakan Sukur’s agent insists the Turkey international striker will not be moving to Rangers.

Hakan Azman, who earlier this week warned Rangers they would have to stump up a £1m a year salary, today claimed Sukur would not be joining the Ibrox side.

Sukur has been without a club since leaving Parma in the summer and the new transfer window regulations, which prevent club-to-club transactions from taking place until January, do not apply to unemployed players.

Azman told BBC Sport Online: “I have just spoken to his brother and he said they would not be going to Glasgow.”
