Neville comes through fitness test
Manchester United defender Gary Neville continued his comeback from a broken foot with a reserve team outing against Liverpool tonight.
Neville, who has been out of action since April, started the 1-1 draw at Chester and if he reports no ill-effects should be included in the first team squad to face Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Diego Forlan was another starter, just 24 hours after breaking his senior duck against Maccabi Haifa – but the Uruguayan had left the pitch by the time Daniel Nardiello stepped up to grab a draw, slotting home a late spot kick for the visitors after Neil Mellor had given Liverpool a first half lead.
