Derry City book place in semi-finals of FAI Cup

Derry City are through to the semi-finals of this year's FAI Carlsberg Cup.

The Northerners defeated St Patrick’s Athletic for the second time in the space of a week last night, coming from a goal down to win 3-1.

The Saints took the lead through Tony Byrd after 6 minutes, but an own goal from Robbie Griffin and a brace from Ciaran Martyn secured Derry's place in the last four.

Two more FAI Cup quarter-finals to be decided this evening - at the Carlisle Grounds it's Bray Wanderers against Bohemians while Kilkenny host Shamrock Rovers at Buckley Park.
