Celtic striker Henrik Larsson has assured Hoops fans he is not suffering from World Cup burn-out.

He and fellow Swede Johan Mjallby were granted extra holiday following their nation’s stint in Japan and South Korea.

Manager Martin O’Neill hinted he would continue resting the pair once the league campaign was underway.

But Larsson, who rejoined his team-mates for the trip to Austria yesterday, said: ‘‘I had four weeks off after the World Cup and that’s not really all that different from normal.

‘‘I am really looking forward to the season. After being away for a few weeks I want to get back and start doing something.’’
