Michael Owen is continuing to have intensive treatment in his battle to be fit for England's World Cup quarter-final with Brazil.

The Liverpool striker missed full training again while he underwent rehabilitation work with the England medical team.

He suffered a groin injury in the 3-0 win over Denmark, and had to be substituted at half-time.

Paul Scholes has also missed training to have treatment on the sore foot which led to him being replaced by Kieron Dyer after 55 minutes against the Danes.

Darius Vassell was the third player to sit out training, with a slight back problem
