Ireland resume training ahead of Saudi clash

Ireland’s World Cup squad resumed training this morning to begin preparations for their final group game against Saudi Arabia in Yokohama next Tuesday.

The players took yesterday off while manager Mick McCarthy watched Cameroon beat the Saudis 1-0.

That result means that Ireland need a two-goal victory in their final game to book a place in the second round of the competition.
