Ireland coherent against Hiroshima

A subdued atmosphere prevailed in as the action started in Ireland's last warm-up match, against Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
There was some excitement in the opening minute following a mistake from the Hiroshima goalkeeper on the right-hand side of his six-yard box.
Robbie Keane pounced and played a clever back-heel into the path of Kevin Kilbane, who fired a low drive inches wide of the far post.
Keane was the provider again after four minutes with a lay-off for strike partner Damien Duff, and the Blackburn Rovers man hit a shot from 20 yards straight at the keeper.
There was a good chance for the Irish after 15 minutes when they won a free-kick in a central position, 25 yards from goal. But Ian Harte drilled his shot into the wall.
Ireland won another free-kick two minutes later on the right flank and Jason McAteer’s deep cross was headed wide at the far post by Kinsella.
