Brazilian midfielder Rivaldo is expected to be fit for the World Cup after taking part in training with the team in Malaysia today.

The Barcelona star injured his knee towards the end of the Spanish domestic season and has not played for more than a month.

However, he has responded well to a series of tests and is aiming to line out for Brazil in their pre-World Cup friendly against Malaysia on Saturday.

Brazil’s first World Cup match is against Turkey on June 3.
