Soccer: McCarthy agrees new deal with FAI

According to reports, Mick McCarthy has signed a new contract that will keep him on as manager of the Irish soccer team until the European Championships in 2004.

McCarthy has been locked in negotiations with the FAI for several weeks now and today it was reported today that the new deal had finally been resolved this weekend.
