Premiership: United silent on latest van Gaal rumours
Manchester United have refused to comment on Dutch media reports linking Louis van Gaal to the manager’s job at Old Trafford.
The Algemeen Dagblad newspaper reported today that United chief executive Peter Kenyon has offered van Gaal the job, which will become vacant when Alex Ferguson retires this summer.
Van Gaal, who won the European Cup with Ajax in 1995, recently retired as Holland’s international manager after the team failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup finals.
