Premiership: Van Nistelrooy wins player of month gong

Ruud van Nistelrooy has won the Barclaycard Premiership player of the month for December.

The Manchester United striker notched seven league goals during December.

The Dutchman also managed to grab his first hat-trick for the club in the 6-1 win over Southampton to help United move back into title contention.
