Six Irish players sat out a friendly match this afternoon ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Iran.

Robbie Keane, Steve Finnan, Dean Kiely, Steven Reid, Matt Holland and Kevin Kilbane played no part in the training game against a selection from the Eircom League.
