Quinn to start on Saturday

Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Niall Quinn, who celebrates his 35th birthday on Saturday, will definitely be named in the starting 11 for the final World Cup qualifier against Cyprus.

Shay Given is also expected to start in goal. Ireland have already secured a place in the World Cup play-offs but if Portugal fail to beat Estonia on Saturday, a win over Cyprus would see Ireland straight through to the World Cup finals.
