Premiership: Fergie to stay on as United consultant

It has been announced by Manchester United that Sir Alex Ferguson is to be retained at Old Trafford for five years as a consultant for the club.

It has been announced by Manchester United that Sir Alex Ferguson is to be retained at Old Trafford for five years as a consultant for the club.

It was originally thought he was to break all ties with the club after he retires from management at the end of the next season.
