Izzet hints at Foxes exit
Muzzy Izzet has admitted his time at Leicester City could be coming to an end and has already been tipped for a reunion with Martin O’Neill at Celtic.
The Turkish international’s career flourished under O’Neill at Filbert Street after he was plucked from the obscurity of Chelsea’s reserves.
And with his former City colleague Neil Lennon already a superstar at Parkhead, it would be no surprise if the £8million-rated midfielder was considering a similar move.
He said: ‘‘I’ve told my agent we will talk about any possible moves when I get back from holiday on June 27.
‘‘I signed a new three-year deal with Leicester at the start of last season. But I don’t know if my future lies with them.
‘‘It is difficult to say anything right now although I haven’t heard anything directly from Celtic yet.’’
Celtic have also been linked with Molde striker Bernt Hulsker.
O’Neill saw the £1million-rated Norwegian in action last night in a 0-0 draw with SK Brann.
