Soccer: Ferguson happy to wait for title
Alex Ferguson is looking forward to wrapping up his seventh title in nine years with a derby win at Old Trafford next week.
His Manchester United side put themselves within three points of the Premiership title with a 4-2 win over Coventry.
United can complete the job against relegation-threatened neighbours Manchester City.
And, although Arsenal had to beat Middlesbrough to keep the title race alive, Ferguson said: "I won't really pay much attention to that.
"We can win it at home on Saturday and that's what I'm looking forward to," he said.
Dwight Yorke and John Hartson netted doubles apiece in the first half before United staged another late show to claim the points, with Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes scoring in the last nine minutes.
Ferguson said Coventry had been as adventurous as any visitors to Old Trafford this season.
"They had a go at us because they knew that was the best way to play, and it's a great credit to them.
"I expected them to have a go and they proved a real threat to us."
