Manchester United FC cruised to a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals as Group A runners-up with a 3-0 victory over SK Sturm Graz at Old Trafford. This crucial clash was settled by goals from Nicky Butt, Teddy Sheringham and Roy Keane, as United controlled the match from the outset.

Graz hardly troubled Fabien Barthez in the hosts' goal and the Austrian champions are now eliminated from the competition, leaving United and Valencia CF as the two qualifiers from this tight group.

Milan v Deportivo 1 - 1 F-T

Deportivo La Coruña progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League at the expense of Milan AC after a 1-1 draw at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. A Djalminha penalty gave Deportivo a 74th minute lead, Milan got on level terms with an Andriy Shevchenko spot-kick 12 minutes later but it was too little too late.

Paris SG v Galatasaray 2 - 0 F-T

Galatasaray SK had to settle for the runners-up spot in Group B after losing 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in their UEFA Champions League Second Group Stage encounter at Parc des Princes. Two first-half goals on the break from the Brazilian striker Christian sealed the victory, Paris's first in the second stage of the competition.
