‘No serious injury’ for Anthony Pilkington

Cardiff City have said Anthony Pilkington suffered “no serious injury” after he was forced out of their scoreless draw with Burnley on Tuesday.

Video footage showed the Ireland player attempting to continue playing but then collapsing to the turf clutching his knee and, later, he left Turf Moor on crutches.

However, a scan yesterday on the 27-year-old showed no significant damage and, according to the club, he will resume training “in due course, once suitably rested.”
