Chelsea still contenders, warns Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger still believes Chelsea are Premier League title contenders.

Wenger was speaking ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich, and warned he hasn’t yet ruled out a spectacular recovery from Jose Mourinho’s men. The Frenchman also believes early pacesetters Leicester must be taken seriously. The Foxes sit at the top of the table after a superb start under Claudio Ranieri - with Jamie Vardy leading the drive as the division’s top goalscorer.

They welcome van Gaal’s second-placed Manchester United to the King Power Stadium this evening.Wenger, whose Arsenal side are the only team to beat Leicester in the league this season and also inflicted a 3-0 defeat over United, believes Ranieri and his squad are bonafide challengers - along with struggling holders Chelsea.
