Osam had an illustrious League of Ireland career with the Saints as well as Shamrock Rovers and has been involved in numerous underage international teams in recent years.

He was head coach of the Ireland U18 Home-based international squad that played two games against Wales earlier this year, winning one and drawing the other. Osam has also worked with Emerging Talent Programme selects at the Mayo Cup and worked with the Future Developers squad which played two games in England in August.

“I am honoured to have been given this opportunity and hope to help the players I’ll be working with bridge the gap between the Under-15 international squad with Colin O’Brien and progress to Tom Mohan’s U17 squad,” said Osam, who is also FAI development officer for Westmeath.
