O’Neill: Aiden will take Premier League by storm

Martin O’Neill is confident Aiden McGeady will take the Premier League by storm.

O’Neill was the man who gave the new Everton signing his debut at Celtic and also predicted last year he would return to Britain in the current transfer window after three and a half years in Russia.

Now the winger’s move from Spartak Moscow to the Toffees has gone through, the Republic of Ireland manager has no doubts about McGeady’s ability to cut it in England’s top flight.

“He has moved now to the Premier League and I think it’s terrific for him,” said O’ Neill. “I’ve no doubt it will be beneficial for him and for Ireland and I expect him to take the place by storm.”
