Kompany relief for Mancini

Captain Vincent Kompany is clear to play on for Manchester City after his sending-off in Sunday’s Barclays Premier League win at Arsenal was overturned yesterday.

As a result, Kompany’s three-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

The Belgium centre-back was shown a straight red card by referee Mike Dean for a challenge on Jack Wilshere with 14 minutes remaining at the Emirates Stadium.
