Perfect ending for City slickers

“I never imagined that it would come down to this,” said Graham Cummins. “It’s fantastic to win a league at any stage, but to win it with the last kick of the last game of the season, you can’t really script that.”

Then, four minutes into time added on, Cork substitute Derek O’ Brien skipped up the left flank, swung an inch-perfect cross into the box and there was top scorer Cummins to meet the ball with a textbook downward header to confirm Cork City as the 2011 Airtricity First Division champions.
