Solskjaer bids United farewell

ALEX FERGUSON convinced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to become the new coach of Norwegian club Molde, said the former Manchester United striker, as he leaves Old Trafford to take up his new job.

Solskjaer signed a three-and-a-half year contract worth €290,000 per year, plus another €232,000 for his image rights, with a €116,000 bonus clause if Molde, who finished last season in 11th place, become champions next year.

Solskjaer met the club president Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen last month but turned down an offer before changing his mind after a conversation with Ferguson.
