Hughes happy to listen to player gripes

MARK HUGHES insists his door is always open to any Manchester City player unhappy at his treatment at Eastlands. City’s exit from the FA Cup last weekend came amid more rumours of strife behind the scenes.

Brazilian playmaker Elano is said to have been a chief agitator, but others have been mentioned too amid what is said to be general disgruntlement at Hughes’ regime.

The Welshman is pushing forward with his own squad-building plans, which in itself could be a source of in-house disquiet.
