Roy’s not so Keane on one-off triumphs

SUNDERLAND boss Roy Keane admitted one-off victories are no good to him.

The Corkman has spent the last two years or so, and upwards of £70 million (€82.3m), building a squad he believes is capable of not only surviving in the Barclays Premier League, but of making a real impression.

However, Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat by West Ham, coupled with Wigan’s home victory by the same score over Everton on Monday night, left the Black Cats poised just one place and a single point ahead of arch-rivals Newcastle inside the drop zone.
