Bullish Keane calls for fighting spirit

SUNDERLAND manager Roy Keane has likened his punch-drunk Sunderland side to a boxer on the ropes as they attempt to fight their way out of a corner.

The Black Cats slipped to next-bottom of the Premier League after their St Stephen’s Day humbling at the hands of Manchester United and are facing a real battle to avoid relegation.

Victory over 15th-place Bolton today would put them level on points with the visitors but a defeat would only worsen their plight.
