Bhoys out to right wrongs of Donetsk

Two goals surrendered meekly inside the first eight minutes proved to be decisive as Celtic slumped to defeat in their Group D opener,

The focus now returns to domestic duties and Vennegoor of Hesselink admits Celtic have no option but to right the wrongs of Donetsk when they travel to Easter Road on Sunday.

He said: “We hadn’t lost a game this season, that was the first game, and let’s hope it’s one of the only defeats we are going to get.

“The focus is now on the league on Sunday because it’s another hard away game. That’s football.

“The one day you lose but you can take revenge very quickly in the next game.”

He added: “The feeling could be better of course but we have an important game at the weekend. The league is our focus again because we want to win it.

“We have to take the defeat and stand up again. It was the first game in the group stage and there will be many more. It was a little bit disappointing but that’s football.”
