Liverpool star Riise declared bankrupt

LIVERPOOL full-back John Arne Riise has been declared bankrupt by British courts for an unpaid debt of about £100,000 (€147,000).

Riise, understood to earn some £50,000 (€73,500) per week, was declared bankrupt at Liverpool County Court.

The 27-year-old is listed as a bankrupt on the British Government’s Insolvency Service website, www.insolvency.gov.uk.
