Gray steps in as Reid signs off with salute to fans

FORMER Leeds manager Peter Reid has thanked the club’s fans following his departure from the Elland Road club.

Reid left the club on Monday, and former player and manager Eddie Gray has been put in charge of team affairs until a successor is appointed.

And Leeds captain Dominic Matteo has admitted that the players let Reid down during the club's slide to the bottom of the Barclaycard Premiership.
