Mourinho to bolster defence

JOSE MOURINHO is set to bring in another central defender after Portugal international midfielder Tiago became Chelsea’s latest acquisition.

Following the capture of Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba for a reported cub record fee of £24 million on Tuesday and the news that Eidur Gudjohnsen had penned a new deal, the formalities of Tiago’s transfer from Benfica were finalised yesterday.

With Tiago having arrived on a three-year deal, it would seem that Mourinho has his full complement of midfielders.
