Gerrard’s decision ‘is what matters’

LIVERPOOL chief executive Rick Parry has admitted the Reds will be powerless to keep Steven Gerrard if the midfielder decides he wants to leave Anfield.

Gerrard has been constantly linked with a move away from Anfield with Chelsea expected to launch a £30 million offer in the summer and Parry acknowledges that, while the club will do their utmost to retain the England international, the final decision will be down to the player himself.

"Maybe there will be an offer in the summer. Maybe there won't," he said.
