Zola makes a winning return to Chelsea's colours in tribute match
A sell-out crowd saw Didier Drogba's third goal in as many matches for his new club give Jose Mourinho's men the breakthrough in the first-half at Stamford Bridge. A Gabriel Milito own-goal doubled Chelsea's lead in their final warm-up match ahead of next Sunday's Premiership opener against Manchester United, and Scott Parker completed the scoring late on.
Zola, who made 185 league appearances in a near seven-year career at Stamford Bridge, did not start the match. But the little Sardinian was given a rousing welcome before the game, which was matched in the 64th minute when he replaced ÂŁ24m new recruit Drogba.
