Vieira ‘desperate’ to recover

ARSENAL captain Patrick Vieira admitted his frustration at his latest injury blow as he waited anxiously to learn whether the club’s title challenge would also be affected by a suspension crisis.

The French midfielder has been ruled out of action for at least the next three weeks after suffering a fresh thigh injury on his comeback from a similar problem last week.

Vieira said: “I’m desperate to get this problem rectified once and for all, so I can get back out on the pitch and give everything to the club as I always do.”
