Partick looking to buy Irish

PARTICK THISTLE co-manager Derek Whyte is taking advantage of summer football in Ireland to try to bolster the squad for next season.

The Firhill club are still waiting to discover which league they will be playing in next season with the Scottish Premier League still to sort out the promotion wrangle with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Dunfermline has had success with Irish players in recent seasons and Whyte said: “It is a good opportunity to see what is available.”
