Kiely upbeat on Pompey’s chances

PORTSMOUTH goalkeeper Dean Kiely refuses to face the possibility of relegation despite the Fratton Park club’s precarious position at the foot of the Barclays Premiership.

The former Republic of Ireland star insists he and his team-mates are upbeat about Premiership survival - despite being eight points adrift of safety with just 10 games to go.

“Relegation? The word does not figure much in my vocabulary or my thoughts. All I have come here for is what the rest of the players seem to want - to be positive, upbeat and to get a little run going.”
