Crowe called in to Irish squad

BOHEMIANS’ striker Glen Crowe was yesterday added to Ireland’s panel for this evening’s friendly game against Turkey at Lansdowne Road (7.30 pm).

Crowe called in to Irish squad

Crowe replaces reserve striker Alan Lee, who was forced out by injury. Lee, who played as substitute against Norway and Georgia, damaged his knee in training and was allowed to return to his club, Cardiff City, yesterday.

Midfielder Matt Holland may also be forced out of the game because of a twisted ankle which he received against Russia. Holland will captain the team in the absence of Kenny Cunningham if he plays, otherwise Mark Kinsella will fill the role.
