Bellamy injury incenses Hughes

MARK Hughes’ fractious relationship with his former employers at the Welsh FA threatened to worsen yesterday when the Blackburn boss hit out over Craig Bellamy’s latest injury setback.

Hughes claims he was kept in the dark over Bellamy’s late withdrawal from the Welsh squad to face Slovenia in Swansea on Wednesday night, after apparently picking up a thigh strain during training.

Hughes said: “Craig has got injured again and we haven’t really had any contact from the Welsh FA which I am disappointed about. I feel they should at least get in touch with our medical staff.”
