Argentina A head coach Álvaro Galindo will look to continue winning ways for the Pumas' second string on Saturday when they face Munster at Thomond Park.

With just three Test-capped players – flanker Nicolas D'amorim, wing Santiago Pernas, and centre Faustino Sánchez Valarolo – Galindo’s remit is focused on building and developing Argentine players for the near future and there have already been big wins this year against Brazil (45-17) and Romania (52-12) during July.

Munster boss Clayton McMillan, who coached the All Blacks XV in Limerick 12 months ago, knows the pitfalls of sending out a squad of fringe players, said: “I think there's real risk around trying to do too much.

"With limited time, it's hedging your bets on two or three things and being really clear around what you want to see from your own team. Backing that and the talent of your squad to go out and play rugby and deal with whatever transpires in the game.”

Yet his opposite number is bullish, and said: “We all share the same goal: to bring glory to Argentina and play a great match in a spectacular venue like Munster's stadium, against a team with a rich history. There are many elements that make this match truly special.”
