When Argentina lost their opening match against England after their opponents played the game with 14 men, few would have bet on the Pumas going deep in the World Cup, yet the initial defeat proved to be a blessing in disguise for the Pumas.
Argentina, who looked far from their usual high standards against England, went on to beat Samoa, Chile and Japan and entered Saturday's quarter-final against Wales riding a long-built momentum.
