Bundee Aki the top-ranked player as 3 Irish players make team of RWC pool stages

Ireland fans have seen Bundee Aki reach new heights during the team's Rugby World Cup group stage progress with the Connacht man earning rave reviews for his performances so far. 

And now the stats back it up with Aki the player of the pool stages, according to the Opta Index. 

The Ireland centre is one of three players from Andy Farrell's side to make the team of the tournament so far, according to the data. 

Aki's midfield partner Garry Ringrose - who was amongst the try scorers against Scotland at the weekend -- also wins a spot. 

And Munster's Tadhg Beirne is named at No 4. 

10 countries are represented in the 15 with Portugal's Samuel Murwues and Georgia's Davit Niniashvili amongst the selection.
