Bonus point system will 'enhance' Six Nations, says chairman

Six Nations chairman Pat Whelan believes the introduction of bonus points for this season's flagship tournament will "enhance" the competition.

The Six Nations Council announced that a bonus points system would be trialled in the 2017 RBS-sponsored championship, plus the women's and under-20 competitions, before it is reviewed.
