New Zealand captain Richie McCaw said he is "pretty excited’ at the thought of playing at the Aviva Stadium this weekend, as he contemplated the prospect of becoming the All Blacks’ most-capped player of all-time on the ground where he made his Test debut back in 2001.

Both McCaw and full-back Mils Muliaina will win their 93rd caps here on Saturday when they take the field against Ireland, both men breaking the previous New Zealand Test appearance record of former captain Sean Fitzpatrick.

McCaw was today speaking at an event where winners of a competition run by Elverys and adidas got a chance to meet with the All Blacks for a day.

Children aged 10-12 were asked to explain in less than a 100 words why they should be chosen and the entries were chosen by former all black Doug Howlett.
