McMillan still Glasgow skipper

Bath-bound Mark McMillan today retained the Glasgow captaincy for tomorrow night’s Magners League clash at Connacht.

It was yesterday confirmed McMillan, 26, would return to the Guinness Premiership in the summer.

But the scrum-half will continue to lead the Warriors in the absence of Alastair Kellock.

Head coach Sean Lineen named his side for tomorrow’s game this morning, making five changes from the defeat against Cardiff Blues two weeks ago.

In the backs, Colin Shaw starts on the wing, while Peter Murchie replaces Max Evans at outside centre.

Up front, Ed Kalman comes in for the injured Moray Low, with Dan Turner replacing Richie Gray and Calum Forrester starting instead of Chris Fusaro.

Lineen delayed finalising his starting XV on Tuesday, instead electing to name a 22-man squad.

He has not been allowed to select any of the Glasgow players who featured in Scotland’s RBS 6 Nations defeat by Italy on Saturday.

The Warriors go into tomorrow’s game looking to reclaim top spot in the Magners League.

To do so, they must complete a sequence of five away games without defeat in the competition for the first time.
