Leinster extend defence coach's contract

Former Ireland international Kurt McQuilkin has extended his contract as Leinster defence coach for two years.

Former Ireland international Kurt McQuilkin has extended his contract as Leinster defence coach for two years.

McQuilkin was part of the coaching set-up at three U19 World Cups (including the victorious 1997 campaign), an U21 World Cup and Six Nations.

He was also Ireland 7's coach for two seasons, held coaching positions with the Ireland Development side and Samoa King Country in the NPC for two seasons.

Until his appointment as defence coach with the Leinster Senior team, McQuilkin had also coached the Leinster Under-20s as well as both Lansdowne and Greystones in the AIB League.
