First win in South Africa since 2003 for All Blacks
South Africa 26 New Zealand 45
The Tri-Nations title is already in the bag, but even with 12 changes from last week New Zealand earned their first Test win on South African soil since 2003.
The Springboks got off to a good start and an early lead thanks to penalties from Percy Montgomery and Butch James and a ninth-minute try from Fourie Du Preez.
But Dan Carter got the All Blacks ticking over with a couple of penalties and the visitors lead 16-11 at half time after Neemia Tialata touched down with Carter converting and adding another late penalty.
Second half tries from Luke McAlister, Mils Muliaina, Sitiveni Sivivatu and Rico Gear ensured the ‘Blacks were comfortably ahead although Jaques Fourie crossed twice for the hosts and Motgomery added another three-points with sub Andre Pretorius converting the final try.
