Former Waikato scrum-half Isaac Boss has arrived at Ulster to give Kieran Campbell serious competition for his starting position.

Boss will bring a wealth of experience and skill to ignite a young Ulster backline containing the likes of Ireland Under-21 three quarters Tommy Bowe and Andrew Trimble.

The Kiwi will make his debut for the province on the Ulster A side to meet Leinster A at Navan on Friday.

ULSTER A (v Leinster A): S Young; P McKenzie, S Stewart, J Bell, A Maxwell; G Steenson, I Boss; G Maxwell, N Brady, D Fitzpatrick, R Caldwell, H Head, C Henry, O Hennessey, S Ferris.
