With Ronan O’Gara ruled out through injury, the worst kept secret in Munster rugby circles was confirmed when Munster coach Alan Gaffney stated that Paul Burke would start this weekend’s Heineken Cup game.

This will be Burke’s first Heineken Cup start since 2002 when he, ironically enough, played against Munster for Zurich Premiership side Harlequins in that season’s competition.
