Bective Rangers through to Leinster semis
Bective Rangers 20 Lansdowne 6
Bective Rangers became the first club to qualify for the Leddin Finance Leinster Senior Cup semi-final following this comprehensive beating of Lansdowne at Donnybrook last night.
The home side were full value for their 12-3 half-time lead with scrum-half Karl Becker sniping away at his former club’s fringe defence.
Full back Tom Sheehy and hooker Anthony Ronan went over for the all-important tries.
Lansdowne were not out of it at that stage and fly-half Andy Tallon added his second penalty to reduce the arrears to 12-6.
It was all to play for until Fergal Campion stroked over a penalty and wing Stephen O’Connor pierced the Lansdowne cover for the third and final time.
